Earth’s surface consists of large masses of land. They are called as continents. There are seven continents in the world. They are Asia, Africa, Australia, Antarctica, Europe, North America, and South America.
Sometimes combined lands of Europe and Asia are called supercontinent “Eurasia”.

Antarctica is the southernmost continent and a virtually inhabited ice-covered landmass.
Europe
Europe is the second-smallest continent in the world. It is on the western peninsula of the giant supercontinent of Eurasia.
North America
North America lies in the northern and western hemispheres. It is the third-largest continent in the world.
South America
South America is the fourth-largest continent in the world. It is found in the Western Hemisphere.
