Writing is a developmental process for kids that takes years to complete. Kids will know to
draw lines and patterns after the scribbling stage. Every child is different
and will develop writing at different ages.
First, they should learn the patterns of writing. There are six patterns in writing. They
are
Standing lines
Sleeping lines
Slanting lines
Curves
Waves
Circles
Standing line is a vertically standing line.
Sleeping line is a horizontal line.
A slanting line is a line that is drawn at an angle, just like a diagonal line.
Curves are called bumpy lines.
There are four types of curve.
Upcurve, down curve, right curve and left curve.
Waves: Waves are the lines that make a curve and go up and down like a wave.
Circle: Circle is a shape that is made up of curved lines and it is round.
Alphabets will be a combination of these patterns. For easy understanding and with a few more examples, you can easily learn it by watching this video.
